* Rice University
* University of California Irvine
* Northwestern University
* University of Michigan
* Washington University in St. Louis
* University of Texas at Austin

maybe:
* Cornell University
* University of Rochester
* University of Washington

those that do not offer the MSTP program:
* Purdue University (two hours to Chicago or 14 hours to New York
City, or four hours to Madison, Wisconsin)
* also: MIT, CalTech, Stanford-- which seemed to have inadequacies in
their programs (from what I can remember), etc.
