Today's nonsense
- Homework due today.
- We are going to have two vans. We are going to stop at Starbucks, because Romney can get her employee discount, and then we're going to head off to San Antonio. We are passing out the UIL math packets now. There are two different tests to give. If we have some time during the week we'll look through some of the questions. This meet, we're just seeing what you are able to do naturally, and then if you want to you can look through these packets.
- Homework due in two days. Distance formula, midpoint except it's three dimensional instead of two dimensional, and it's pg. 778 #26, 28, 36-44, 70-76, 80-88, 92-100 All evens.
Coordinates in Space
Distance Formula
The distance between (x_(1), y_(1), z_(1)) and (x_(2), y_(2), z_(2)). Then, the pythagorean theorem is sqrt( (x_(2) - x_(1))^(2) + (y_(2) - y_(1))^(2) + (z_(2) - z_(1))^(2)).
Midpoint formula
(x+x / 2, y + y / 2, z + z / 2)
