That's what I am interested in. I figure that with MEAs (embedded
microelectrode arrays*) we could have live data streaming in to feed
and constrain brain simulation software packages such as Henry
Markram's Blue Brain project (GENESIS + neurocortical simulator + 400
other packages). These constraints would shed significant light on
what's going on or what we are not accounting for and so on as for lab
testing. But more importantly it would also allow tracking of brain
information with respect to a model with which we could run, say,
separate 'mind agents' (or 'mind bots') to suggest shortcuts, and with
the 'viral-gene-therapy-on-a-lab-on-a-(brain+gene)-chip' ideas would
allow for self-optimization.

* MEAs aren't commonly attached to wireless gene chips, but when we're
talking computational neurobiology, it's legit.
