Jim, I did not write that line. That was written by Eliezer Yudkowsky. 
He and I don't agree on everything, and that line happens to be one of 
them. Just want to clear this up before I reply to the rest of your 
awesome email. Welcome to the mailing list. [Also, it is possible that 
you knew it was written by Eliezer, and still think I hold the same 
assumption, however I don't think anything in that email shows that I 
was using that as an assumption in my reasoning. Anyway, maybe you can 
shed some light.]
