Funny that this should come up, because I just reconfigured MetaBase
with new anti-spam settings. My new recipe is;

A) Allow *all* users to edit freely, but *always* trigger a captcha
for non-registered users.
B) *Never* show a captcha to a registered user.
C) Require solving a captcha for registration.


Assuming human registered spambots are rare and easy to kill, I think
the above recipe balances the needs of non-restrictive access and
anti-spam security. Else capthca everyone on every edit ;-)
