DIY magnetic stirrer

The magnetic stirrer is described in the original biokit zip file. KClO4X submitted the above video. Basically, the design calls for a small fan to be magnetized and to drop in a metal bead into the liquid so that the beaker (or any glass container) is stirred. Ideally, this could be controlled with varying voltages on the speed of the microfan, perhaps even a quick Atmel microchip breadboard can be made to let it be computer automated (cookies go to the first one to make one with an HTTP interface and a webcam watching it!). -- Kanzure 18:49, 6 February 2008 (PST)
